Ingredients:
90g softened unsalted butter;
110g caster sugar;
165g sieved self-raising flour;
2tbsp milk;
1tbsp vanilla extract;
1 egg;
60g plain or dark or milk chocolate chips
Recipe:
1. Heat the oven to 170°C Fan/190°/375°F/Gas Mark 5 and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2. In a mixing bowl, mix together: 110g caster sugar; 165g sieved self-raising flour; and 60g plain or dark or milk chocolate chips. Then mix in 90g softened, unsalted butter until crumbly. Beat in: 2tbsp milk; 1tbsp vanilla extract; and 1 egg.
3. Once the mixture is smooth, spoon onto a baking tray and place in the oven at 170°C Fan/190°/375°F/Gas Mark 5 for 10 minutes or until the cookies come off clean.
4. Once cooked, leave on a baking tray to cool for 5-10 minutes then turn onto a wire rack and leave to fully cool.
